Barry Welford at BP Wrap, Internet Marketing From A Different Point Of View tagged me on a magazine meme started by Andy Beal. I’m a reader and a thinker, so I like this meme. I read a lot. In fact when we go on vacation, I can down five books in no time. Books are cherished possessions in my home. When my sons were young, I started a personal “library” for them. So what did they receive as Christmas gifts? Books and magazine subscriptions. So you may think my magazine list odd, but it gives you insight into how wide spread my interests are:
- Time
- Health
- New York Magazine
- CFO
- Chief Executive
- Money
- Fortune
- Choice
- Wired
- Waters
- Smithsonian
- The Futurist
- Optimize
- Columbia College Today
- Surf
- Forbes
- Institutional Investor
- Fast Company
- Writers Digest
Now here’s my philosphy. You learn a whole about someone by what they read. And you also learn a whole about someone by whether or not they respond to something like this meme. This is one I actually respect. Why? Because it’s one that can teach us something. I’m curious what these guys read (and I have 4 brothers, 3 sons, I use the guy thing generically, please get over it) :
- Steli of SuperCoolSchool
- Christy’s Coffee Break
- The Antman at Cre8Buzz
- This is Not My Country
- Engaging the Disquiet: the blog
- Success From The Nest

Thank you for the tag. This looks like a fun one. I love to read but I don’t think my magazines can compare to the quality of your reading material, lol. Most of the magazines that I read will pretty much show everyone that I’m, well, a girl. Especially Oprah’s magazine, this meme could actually get embarrassing, but we’ll just have to see…
Thanks!

Christy,
Thanks a million for doing this meme. I forgot to add People to it. I saw it on your blog when I stoppped over to visit yours. I didn’t add magazines to this list that I pick up when I’m traveling. I just added ones I subscribe to, though I have to renew my subscription to II. And you have to remember, I grew up with four brothers so I think more like a guy than I do a girl. Besides my brothers called me “entertainment value” my whole life…still do. With four brothers I always need to be prepared for high level discourse. You don’t think I’m about to lose now do you?
Can you imagine how much fun I have when I actually get to relax and read People? Sacrosanct on Fridays are my laughfest with People!
